Our mills come partially filled for immediate enjoyment. The salt used, Cristaux de sel blanc d'Allemagne, is a dry white salt from Germany and perfect for everyday cooking. It is available in 13 oz. (370g) cubes, which can be used to refill the mill. To refill, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top, and pour in your dry salt (up to a maximum size of ⅙-inch/4mm).
