Product Description
About Us Our story begins in 1945 in the Strona Valley, known for its exceptional craftsmanship, and the villages along the eastern shore of Lake Orta. Bisetti seamlessly merges the expertise of local artisans with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment to meet the quality standards of the modern market. In 2018, we relocated to a modern factory in Omegna, Italy, where we continue to produce wooden table and kitchen items.
Wood For the Kitchen Wood is undoubtedly one of the most commonly used materials in the kitchen. In addition to cabinets, doors, and shelves, it is widely utilized for food preparation, such as cutting boards, tableware, and utensils. The abundance of wood on Italian soil is the key to its success. Bisetti offers an extensive range of wood products, including beech wood, walnut, fir wood, and olive wood.
Cutting Boards Choose from our diverse selection of cutting boards, including grooved cutting boards, pizza boards, and screen print boards for cutting and serving!
Tableware Enhance your table with our wide range of items, from bread boards and charcuterie boards to our unique palette boards, perfect for serving a variety of foods.
Utensils Complete your kitchen with our collection of beech wood serving utensils, including forks, spoons, spaghetti tongs, and spatulas!
Care of Your Cutting Board Items you will need: food-grade mineral oil and board cream, such as Boos block board cream.
The Washing Process: 1. Wash your cutting board with water (soap is also acceptable), including the underside and edges. Remove any stuck-on residue with a lint-free cloth. It is crucial to wash both sides to prevent warping.
The Application of Oil: 1. The next morning, generously apply mineral oil to all sides, top, bottom, and any groove or handle. Ensure the wood is evenly coated. Let the oil soak into the board for at least three hours before letting it dry on its edge.
The Application of Cream: 1. After the oil has soaked in, apply the board cream directly to the wood, making sure to cover every nook and cranny. Use a lint-free microfiber cloth for easy application. This creates a barrier to help the wood retain moisture.
Cleaning: 1. In the morning, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to rub the board in circular motions. The wood will become glossy and beautiful, indicating a successful barrier.
Our wood is sourced from well-managed and FSC certified forests, meeting strict environmental, social, and economic standards.
