About Us Our journey began in 1945, in the scenic Strona Valley and the villages overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Orta. Blending traditional local craftsmanship with modern machinery, Bisetti ensures that its products meet the quality standards demanded by the market in the new millennium. In 2018, Bisetti relocated to a state-of-the-art factory in Omegna, Italy, where it continues to manufacture wooden table and kitchen items.
Wood For the Kitchen Wood is undoubtedly one of the most widely used materials in the kitchen. In addition to cabinets, doors, and shelves, it is commonly used for food preparation in items such as cutting boards, tableware, and utensils. Italy, with its abundant natural resources, provides the perfect backdrop for Bisetti's wide range of wood products, including beech, walnut, fir, and olive wood.
Cutting Boards Bisetti offers a diverse selection of cutting boards, including grooved boards, pizza boards, and screen-printed boards for cutting and serving purposes.
Tableware Enhance your table with Bisetti's extensive range of tableware, from bread boards and charcuterie boards to their unique pallet boards, perfect for serving a variety of foods.
Utensils Bisetti offers an array of beech wood serving utensils, including forks, spoons, spaghetti tongs, and spatulas.
Care of Your Cutting Board Items needed: Food grade mineral oil and board cream (such as Boos block board cream).
The Wash: Start by washing your cutting board with water and soap, including the underside and edges. Use a lint-free rag to remove any stuck-on residue. Ensure to wash both sides of the board to prevent warping. Wipe down the board and let it dry overnight, standing on edge to allow both faces to air out.
The Oil: The next morning, generously apply mineral oil to all sides of the board, including any grooves, grips, or handles. Allow the oil to soak into the wood for at least three hours. Once again, let the board dry overnight in the same manner.
The Cream: After the oil has penetrated the grains, apply board cream directly to the wood, making sure to cover the entire board. To avoid getting greasy hands, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to spread the cream into every nook and cranny. This cream forms a protective barrier, helping the wood retain moisture. Let the board sit overnight on its side.
The Clean: In the morning, use the lint-free microfiber cloth to polish the board in circular motions. The wood will become smooth and beautiful, helping to maintain the protective barrier.
