About Us
Our story begins in 1945, in the Strona Valley and the villages overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Orta, where traditional craftsmanship thrived. Bisetti combines this skilled local artisan tradition with modern machinery and equipment to meet the quality standards required by the market in the new millennium. In 2018, Bisetti moved to a modern factory in Omegna, Italy, where we continue to produce wooden table and kitchen items.
Wood For the Kitchen
Wood is one of the most commonly used materials in the kitchen. Apart from cabinets, doors, and shelves, wood is frequently used for food preparation, such as cutting boards, tableware, and utensils. This popularity is due to the abundance of wood on Italian soil. Bisetti offers a wide range of wood products, including beech wood, walnut, fir wood, and olive wood.
Cutting Boards
Bisetti offers a diverse selection of cutting boards, including grooved cutting boards, pizza boards, and screen print boards used for cutting and serving!
Tableware
Enhance your table with Bisetti's wide range of tableware, including bread boards, charcuterie boards, and their unique pallet boards for serving a variety of foods.
Utensils
Bisetti offers beech wood serving utensils, including forks, spoons, spaghetti tongs, and spatulas!!
Care of Your Cutting Board
Items you will need: Food grade mineral oil and board cream, such as Boos block board cream.
The Wash: Clean your cutting board with water, using soap if desired. Make sure to wash the underside and edges, removing anything stuck to it with a lint-free rag. It's important to wash the entire board to prevent warping caused by uneven swelling. After washing, wipe it down and let it thoroughly dry overnight, standing it on its edge so that both large faces are facing out.
The Oil: The next morning, generously apply mineral oil to all sides of the board, including any grooves, grips, or handles. Ensure the wood is covered with an even coat of oil. Let the oil soak into the board for at least three hours, and then let it dry on its edge as before.
The Cream: After the oil has soaked into the grains, apply the board cream directly to the wood, spreading it over the entire board, getting into every nook and cranny. If you prefer not to get your hands greasy, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to apply the cream. The cream creates a barrier to help the wood retain moisture. Let the board sit overnight on its side, with the broad faces out.
The Clean: In the morning, use the lint-free microfiber cloth to rub the board in circular motions. The wood will become glossy and beautiful. You have successfully created a moisture-retaining barrier.
Made of beautiful European Walnut Wood, this cutting board is extremely hard, heavy, and resilient, making it an excellent choice. It is FSC certified, ensuring that the wood comes from forests treated with correct and respectful methods, according to European environmental standards. The dimensions are 15.7 x 9.84 x 0.78 inches, with a juice groove. Proudly Made In Italy.
