About Us
Our story begins in the Strona Valley and the villages overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Orta back in 1945, where the skilled local artisans crafted their products with traditional craftsmanship. Bisetti, combining this rich tradition with modern machinery and equipment, ensures the quality standards required by the market in the new millennium. In 2018, Bisetti relocated to a modern factory in Omegna, Italy, where they continue to produce wooden table and kitchen items.
Wood For the Kitchen
Wood is an essential material in the kitchen, not only for cabinets, doors, and shelves but also for various food preparation items such as cutting boards, tableware, and utensils. Italy's abundant wood resources have contributed to the success of wooden kitchen products. Bisetti offers a wide range of wood products, including beech wood, walnut, fir wood, and olive wood.
Cutting Boards
Bisetti provides a diverse selection of cutting boards, including grooved cutting boards, pizza boards, and screen print boards that can be used for both cutting and serving.
Tableware
Enhance your dining experience with Bisetti's wide range of tableware, including bread boards, charcuterie boards, and their unique pallet boards that can be used to serve various foods.
Utensils
Bisetti offers beech wood serving utensils such as forks, spoons, spaghetti tongs, and spatulas.
Care of Your Cutting Board
Items you will need: Food grade mineral oil and board cream (e.g., Boos block board cream).
The Wash: Start by washing your cutting board with water (soap is acceptable) thoroughly, including the underside and edges. Remove any residue with a lint-free rag. It is important to wash both the top and bottom to prevent warping. Wipe down the board and allow it to dry overnight by standing it on edge, ensuring that both large faces are exposed.
The Oil: The next morning, generously apply mineral oil to all sides, top, bottom, and any groove, grip, or handle using your hands. Make sure to cover the wood evenly with a thin layer of oil. Let the oil soak into the board for at least three hours before allowing it to dry on its edge as before.
The Cream: After the oil has absorbed into the wood, apply board cream directly on the surface and spread it evenly over the entire board, ensuring every nook and cranny is covered. If preferred, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to apply the cream. The cream acts as a barrier to help retain moisture. Leave the board on its side with the broad faces out overnight.
The Clean: The following morning, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to rub the board in circular motions, giving the wood a beautiful, glossy finish. Congratulations, you have successfully maintained your cutting board!
